Blue Iguana Recovery Program Recently I attended the ABMA conference which had a field trip to Grand Cayman. There we took a tour through the Blue Iguana Recovery Program. They have incorporated behavioral technology to protect them and to increase their numbers in the wild. There are less than 200 of this species left in the wild and are making a weak come back. They are using modified crates or housing for them to seek out safety when released back into the wild. This has dramatically increased their survival in the wild. The program is always in need of assistance. One way you can help is to volunteer for 2 weeks. I am trying to gather 5 people together to go and volunteer for 2 weeks this summer.
